Pet Food Assistance

Humane Society of Sarasota County's Pet Pantry Program provides free pet food and supplies for community members in need of temporary assistance feeding their pet(s) during difficult times. The program is made possible through generous contributions from our local community and business partners. This valuable service helps hundreds of families each year. On average, 300 pounds of pet food are distributed weekly. Supplies may vary.

To contribute to the Pet Pantry, please drop your donations off at HSSC's Adoption Center during open hours. We accept unopened dry or wet dog and cat food. All donated items are greatly appreciated.

Distribution Information:

  • Hours:
    • Monday-Friday: 10am-6pm
    • Saturday: 10am-4pm
    • Sunday: Closed
  • HSSC will provide information on low-cost spay/neuter programs and other pet help resources, if needed.
