    Lost & Found Pets

Sarasota County Animal Services (SCAS) is the county-designated shelter where stray/lost animals are held so their owners can find them. However, space permitting HSSC is able to hold strays for their mandatory stray hold period.

HSSC keeps a running list of lost and found animals that have been reported to us. You are welcome to add your lost/found animal’s information by calling 941.955.4131 x127.

If you have found a stray dog or cat, or you have lost your dog or cat, please contact Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services at 941.861.9500 or Manatee County Animal Services at 941.742.5933.

If you believe HSSC has your lost pet, please follow the steps below.
