I am one of those shy and tender cats who find life in a shelter really tough. My name is Serena and I was originally surrendered to Sarasota County Animal Services. Our organizations work closely together to help give as many cats as possible their best chance to go home. Now, after many volunteers have told me how pretty I am, it is time to emerge and again win my way into a permanent home. My body is petite, my voice equally small, but my heart is huge. I would love to be in a quiet home that is not too hectic and I will probably be okay with children over eight years old who understand not to run after me. To spend time following my new mom around the house would make my day. As soon as I feel safe, I would like nothing better than to take my cat nap in your lap. If I need to stay alone to accommodate a work schedule, I will make that work as long as we have some time to cuddle in the evening.
