As a private, non-profit organization, the Humane Society of Sarasota County receives no city, state or federal funding from any entity, nor are we funded by any national organization. HSSC relies solely on donations from our generous community – from people just like you.

Donate Food for our Pet Pantry Program!
Unfortunately, too many people in the community are not able to feed their four-legged children and they feel like they have no alternative but to surrender their pets to a shelter. Through our food assistance program called the Pet Pantry Program, the Humane Society of Sarasota has been able to help hundreds of families, who are struggling with financial hardship, keep their pets in their homes. We are always in need of dog and cat food to keep this service available to those in need. Please bring donated food to HSSC, located at 2331 15th Street, Sarasota, FL 34237.
